4-H Youth Development
4-H is a club where adults assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society. As a part of UGA Extension, 4-H is a part of the nationwide Extension System. Through 4-H and all that it offers, we hope to create a world where adults and youth can learn, grow, and work together as catalysts for positive change and accomplish the extraordinary!
Pulaski County 4-H is a partner with public education; therefore, we are a part of the school day. We see every student in 4th - 8th grade in a scheduled 4-H club meeting, providing enrichment lessons in Science, Math, Language Arts, and Careers.
Our 4-H curricula meet Georgia Performance Standards (GPSs) and the College and Career Performance Readiness Index standards (CCRPI). Georgia 4-H has six core values that we teach: 1) Agriculture, 2) Citizenship, 3) Communication, 4) Environment, 5) Family & Consumer Science, and 6) Leadership.
Pulaski County 4-H wouldn't be where we are without the support of our local schools, businesses, and farmers. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering experiential learning experiences for today's youth. Learn more about sponsorship or donor opportunities.
4-H is a club for youth in grades 4-12. In Pulaski County, we see every 4th - 8th grade student in the classroom setting, so you will become a 4-H'er once school starts if you are not already enrolled. High school 4-H'ers meet after school and during special designated club times during school.
If you are home-schooled or attend an out-of-county private school, you are still eligible to enroll in Pulaski County 4-H. To become more involved in Pulaski County 4-H, contact our office.
