Become a Volunteer

Do you love working with students? Do you want to get more involved with 4-H?

We always love to have new volunteers. Volunteers can help in a variety of ways including judging competitions, chaperoning events, leading judging teams, mentoring students, and more.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Best practices also require that volunteers be three or more years older than the oldest youth they will be chaperoning at the event. Candidates must also possess a valid Driver’s License or Government Issued Identification in order for UGA to be able to complete their background screening process.

In order to begin complete the Volunteer Screening Process, an individual will need to …

  • Complete the online Volunteer Application for Tattnall County (here)
  • Watch your email closely for an email from Customer_service@accurate.com to finish setting up your account. It will often go to the Spam or Junk email folders.
  • Complete the online Risk Management Training (sent to your email after background screening has been completed)
  • Must complete and sign the Volunteer Agreement

Once your Volunteer Screening process has been completed, you will be added to the Screened Volunteer list for Tattnall County 4-H. We utilize this list to reach out when we are in need of assistance with student workshops, judging teams, event planning, trip chaperones, and more.   • Complete la Solicitud de voluntariado en línea para el condado de Tattnall (aquí)
  • Observe atentamente su correo electrónico para recibir un correo electrónico de Customer_service@accurate.com para terminar de configurar su cuenta. A menudo irá a las carpetas de correo no deseado o correo no deseado.
  • Complete la capacitación en gestión de riesgos en línea (enviada a su correo electrónico después de que se haya completado la investigación de antecedentes)
  • Debe completar y firmar el Acuerdo de Voluntariado.
Una vez que se haya completado su proceso de selección de voluntarios, se le agregará a la lista de voluntarios seleccionados del 4-H del condado de Tattnall. Utilizamos esta lista para comunicarnos cuando necesitamos ayuda con talleres para estudiantes, equipos de jueces, planificación de eventos, acompañantes de viajes y más.
