UGA DeKalb County Extension


Our mission is to extend lifelong learning to our citizens through unbiased, research-based education in horticulture, the environment, communities, youth and families.

We are beyond happy to be of your service, we have several classes to provide you with the knowledge, advise and some resources at a very low or no cost at all.

If you would like to have a new garden with colorful landscapes and maintain them on your own, attend our Homeowners series classes. You may also pre-order from our plant sale.

We are looking forward to bringing nutricious, high quality with low priced vegetables and fruits close to your neighborhood, we invite you to take advantage of our Mobile Farmer's Market, from the Spring through Fall seasons.

Learn fast and quick new recipes that are easy on your wallet for FREE and try a sample of them every week, at our Mobile Farmer's Market locations.

If you have kids from grade pre-K to 12th grades, allow them to experience 4-H, for low cost or FREE. They could learn about leadership, life skills, citizenship and have opportunities of impacting others in our community, as well as have fun on different activities or summer camps.

We provide different kinds of lab testing at low cost, from soil, water, plants, radon, insects identification, just to name a few. You could also get advise for free on how to improve their quality.

Please forward your orders as soon as possible, our deadline would be on March 10 to process all orders and will be delivered on March 18, 2017, from 9am-2 pm, only! Due to lack of storage, any order not picked up by 2 pm, will be considered a Donation to the DeKalb Extension Office. No Refunds, All sales are final.

The DeKalb Mobile Farmers Market Fresh on Dek


     Fresh on DeK is a program of DeKalb County Extension with support from the DeKalb County Board of Health.
