4-H Youth Development

I am Georgia 4-H, Paulding County

4-H has been serving youth for more than 100 years! Although it began as a Corn Club for boys and a Tomato Club for girls, 4-H now teaches a more diverse range of topics from leadership to communications to community service and citizenship. 4-H Clubs can found around the world!

Paulding County 4-H is offered  for youth in a school-based club format in grades 5-8 and after-school in grades 9-12.

  • 4-H classroom clubs for 5th graders are found in all Paulding County public elementary schools. The meetings start in August and students receive instruction on public speaking skills and science lessons tied to the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
  • Middle School 4-H Junior clubs for grades 6-8, meet in each of the nine Paulding County middle schools once a month starting in September; most are at the beginning of the day.  A parental signed permission form is required.
  • Senior 4-H'ers in grades 9-12 have monthly club meeting at the 4-H/Extension office.
