Lamar County Extension
is located in beautiful Barnesville, Georgia, Home of the famous Buggy Days. We are here to serve the residents and farmers of Lamar County. We host the 4-H organization which is available to students from the 5th through 12th grades. The Extension office offers soil and water testing as well as other diagnostic services. We also have information about Family and Consumer Science.
UGA Extension Lamar County offers educational programs in the areas of horticulture and agriculture, food safety and nutrition, and leadership and citizenship for youth.
UGA Extension operates through a unique partnership with Lamar County, the University of Georgia, the State of Georgia and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Backed up by specialists and a network of resources, Extension Agents have been on the job in Georgia since 1914.
