Summer Camp
Summer Camp County offices promote and coordinate 4-H summer camp experiences unlike any other in the county. Counties travel to unique 4-H centers across the state offering fun, friendship and adventure for over 8,000 4-H'ers each summer. Visit the Georgia 4-H Website
Environmental Education
Environmental Education The Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program is one of the nation’s largest and oldest providers of local environmental education, serving over 45,000 people annually. The research-based curriculum provides hands-on learning experiences aligned with Georgia Performance Standards.
Livestock Program
Livestock Program The Georgia 4-H Livestock Program gives students the opportunity to practice and acquire new knowledge in the fields of animal science, business, time management and leadership.
Project Achievement
Project Achievement This core program showcases the work and success of 4-H'ers through presentations and portfolios on numerous topics. Members compete against their peers at the local, district and state levels in an effort to master their project.

Project S.A.F.E.
Project S.A.F.E. Project S.A.F.E. (Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education) is a curriculum based and designed to assist young people in personal development, establish a personal environmental ethic and explore life-long vocational and avocational activities.
Military Programs UGA Extension Military Outreach builds partnerships and provides programs that help Georgia military families find positive ways to cope with the stress of military life.

Mar 30 4-H Horse Judging Clinic 2024 Covington, GA Gain valuable insight into horse judging and practice judging ranch horse classes. Clinic consists of three hands-on sessions and one classroom session to help both novice and experienced youth with horse judging. Optional reasons critique following the clinic. This opportunity is open to 4-H and FFA youth participants. Ranch Horse Riding Clinic to follow after lunch as additional opportunity.
Mar 30 4-H Ranch Horse Clinic 2024 Covington, GA Gain valuable insight into ranch horse riding. Clinic consists of hands-on sessions and one optional classroom session to help both novice and experienced youth with ranch horse classes. This event is open to youth ages 9 to 18. Open arena following conclusion of the clinic for all clinic participants.
Apr 6 - Apr 7 Senior Conference (9th - 12th Grades) Eatonton, GA Senior 4-H Members in Grades 9 - 12 will attend a college and share fair, motivational speaker, a semi-formal dinner and dance, and other recreational activities.

  • Mar 29 Apple Grafting Workshop In this workshop attendees will learn the process and techniques to successfully graft apple trees. We will walk you through the process of marrying scion and rootstock. Participants will be provided with 5 semi-dwarf rootstock (G210) which will mature to a perfect sized tree (10-15') for most people to manage. Numerous scion varieties will be available to select from. Many heirloom, disease resistant and even Georgia varieties on hand which will range in ripening windows from June - November. Available varieties will range in use from drying, sauce, cooking, cider, fresh eating or a combination. Grafting knives, parafilm and labels will be available for use. By attending you will join the University of Georgia's efforts to preserve and restore these historic apple cultivars.
